The way you've recounted this really takes away from the impact of Caesar. He spent months with the pirates and he was so charming and eloquent that they actually grew pretty close and friendly. Every now and then Caesar would say, " remember when I get out I'll hunt you down and crucify you!" And they supposedly laughed along like "oh that Caesar he's hilarious". They treated him well, he was comfortable.

The impact comes from how he was able to make friends out of enemies and still be ruthless enough to see the bigger picture, look past the friendly times and the tentation to let things slide and teach a lesson to serve as a message for all pirates who felt they could make a buck out of ransoming Romans. He was truly ruthless and charming all at one.

Really wonderfully done short video. The story is well told, and the combination of the other little story lines really adds to the whole experience. This is one of those videos that go onto my playlist to show to family and friends that don't have the capacity for a lengthier documentary. Fantastic work!

People say that Alexander the Great is the most important man in history and I agree but they also say that ceaser was the second most man I history so I guess Alexander is 1.5 most important

Could you do any more videos like: the Revolutionary War, or Civil War, or World War 1, or World War 2, or Judy Garland, or the birth of Jesus, or Abraham Lincoln, or George Washington, or John F. Kennedy, or Christopher Columbus, or Walt Disney, or J.R.R. Tolkien, or anything like that in the history of this whole world

It would be interesting to see what led to more historical events (other than religion): ego, lust or greed.

Good story.
Or else it will be a shame for westerns if true incident is known to them.
He lost the war against the Great Bharat's Bhairav Army of Emperor Vikramaditya. This army entered the Rome via sea route and literally captured Ceaser and carried him to the Ujjain City of Bharat.
Often Indian Kings are underestimated. But history won't change and it will repeat again!

Correct yourself please.... He was not kidnapped by Pirates but he was Punished by our GREAT KING 👑 Vikramaditya Sen Parmar ❤️ He was so jealous of our King and so he tortured his own People so that he can attract our King towards Rome and trap him. But our King Vikramaditya Defeated his large army with only a small army and captured Julius Caesar... Brought him in Ujjain, India and For almost 6 months he gave him a punishment of moving in the streets of the Ujjain city so that he can learn how to treat People of their Kingdom.... After 6 months Samrat Vikramaditya released him and sent him back to Rome and said "the Rome is now under my Reign if I see any trouble in the people of Rome.... I will give you a Death sentence"
.
Later Julius Caesar forced Roman historians to change this and so they wrote a pirate story 🤣🤣🤣🤣
.
👑 Vikramaditya Sen Parmar ki Jai Ho 🙏
