GUYS you know who is a genius? Ryan Trahan. He really is. We both had pretty similar ideas this week lol, but I’ll never be as funny as him ☺️

Time for my nerd emoji moment…

That wasn’t the oldest operating steel coaster in the beginning, although there aren’t concrete details, that title either belongs to Montaña Suiza at Parque de Atracciones Monte Igueldo (Spain 1928) or Rodelbaan at De Waarbeek (Netherlands 1930). I believe Rodelbaan is the first entirely steel track though while Montaña Suiza only partly uses steel

Also if you want more jank wooden coasters, ride Leap The Dips at Lakemont Park Pennsylvania. It opened in 1902. Yes… really, it’s the oldest surviving coaster, though it went through a large refurbishment in the 90’s to restore it to its original state. Ride operators have to push cars by hand to start them and pull levers for brakes.

There’s also The Great Scenic Railway in Luna Park, Melbourne, Australia. It has operated continuously since 1912. It’s one of the last of its kind that requires a “brakeman” to stand in the very back of the train to activate the brakes and control the train speed by hand!

🤓🤓🤓 nerd moment over

I love how almost none of these are actually coasters, watching this as a coaster enthusiast makes me want to cry.

There is something I must say, ALL👏THESE 👏 RIDES 👏 ARE 👏 SAFE. And also 1/3 of those aren’t even roller coasters, they’re flat rides

I’m about to get nerd emojied the only reason why that steel coaster is open about 5 days a year is because the location is a farm and it only operates during their fall festival. Which is 5 days long.

As a roller coaster enthusiast this video caused me pain. Gforce can cause people to black out but as long as its not high negative gforce it is not dangerous. And how is that random travelling rollercoaster one of the oldest in the world? Also just because its high doesnt mean its dangerous. But other that that great video! I guess im in the minority of coaster enthusiasts watching so nice work!

So much misinformation and half truths....
1) Rarest roller coaster in the world, not oldest steel coaster still operating (Montaña Suiza). Gravity Roller Coaster at Schnepf Farms runs infrequently (during festival, because they only run it when it is profitable to do so.
2) Kamikaze = Not a Roller Coaster
3) Alpine Mountain Coaster, has only been operating since 2011, was not open when Action Park existed, and nobody died on it, defiantly not 6... 6 people did die at action park 3 from drowning, 1 from an electrocution in a pond none on Alpine Roller Coaster (Which did not exist during Action Parks operation)
4) Canyon Blaster in Vegas, is a coaster... good for you, but it is not dangerous. In fact is is simply a small Arrow Custom Looper model. Thee models have been thrilling millions of riders since the 70's and there is still approx 30 variations of this model still in operation.
I just want to clear that up before you harm potential business for these people trying to make a living. FYI some of these companies you cover are not hugely profitable, and they don't deserve to be smeared, harming their business with misinformation for a few clicks.

Gravity roller coaster isn’t actually the rarest roller coaster. There’s 2 roller coasters in Stricker’s Grove (near Cincinnati) that are open to the public 4 days a year.

It also isn’t the oldest steel coaster, Montaña Suiza in Spain is made of steel and was built in 1928. There are multiple other examples of older steel coasters.

By the way, half the rides in this video aren’t coasters

All the rides here that actually are rollercoasters are super safe, you have a 1 in 750 million chance of dying on one. That's less dangerous than a car and you're more likely to be struck by lightning
