PhoneArena presents a brief comparison of the HTC One X vs HTC One S.
With its new One lineup of Android 4.0 handsets, HTC said it aims to achieve a more focused and distinct portfolio of handsets, rather than spreading efforts over many names with unconvincing differences in hardware and design -- a strategy that proved wrong in 2011 with the Sensation line...

Don't listen to people saying the text is blurry. The One S doesn't have an HD screen, but it is really vivid and reading text is no trouble at all. You would have to look at the screen with a magnifying glass to notice anything.

Some people just have to have something to complain about. heh. Both phones are great devices. I prefer the look of the S, but the HD screen would be nice as I watch a lot of video. Either way you go, you will be happy.

Look forward to it! :)

Also notice my English grammar error where I type "you're" when I should have typed "your". Gotta love that. lol

Besides the thick accent, this guy gives great reviews! He smoothly runs through these reviews without skipping a beat and his vocabulary seems better than mine...and I am a native English speaker.

I'm not sure about the brightness settings in the video, but I can tell you from personal experience the LCD screen (One X) is a lot better than any LED screen; then again, if you're used to the iPhone or pretty much any Android device, the whites on the LCD screen (One X) may seem more warmer than other screens. Hope this helps.

I was going to import the black One S but since I'm on I'm on at&t I saved some money and upgraded to the One X. I have yet to actually handle a one s but regardless, I'm happy with my decision. The screen is literally the best I've ever seen and the LTE (dual core variant) has ridiculously good battery life. I think I might go to the T-Mobile store tomorrow just to do my own hands on comparison for fun's sake. In my opinion there is no going wrong choosing either of these two phones.

In benchmarks, there are times when the HTC One S beats the HTC One X, iPhone 4s and the Samsung Galaxy S
The only real difference between the X and S is that the S has a pen-tile, smaller screen. But the S is in the "sweet spot" range, where it's big, but not awkward in the hand.
If anything, it's cute that you're spending ~$80 more for something that's only slightly better.

exactly the issue i encountered with my sensation XE...i thought it was faulty, until someone told me to uncheck the "dont keep activities" option...now it runs smoothly no lags whatsoever.

Compared a lot the last days..

Was a little bit disappointed, that One S still hast that home button bug, so I took the One X. Very nice! I hope, they'll get the One S Bug fixed pretty soon.

I'm off contract and searching for a new replacement for my now old, but dependable, nexus one. I think One S is the way I'm going. Smaller, just as snappy as One X, packs the same features as the one x but in a smaller body, all sounds great to me!

Tmo will soee me in the coming days.

Great review!

Yeah some people could live without that.
Look at the SGS4 mini it does have an sd card slot.
But no HD display.
The phone was already outdated before it came out.

not if it is slow only if it is not in SPORT MODE... as it is in most of the cars. You have a button which ussually sais SPORT, and then you unleash the beast. The same thing here. You click - standard mode, and you your sense UI will never be loading.

Actually, when the One X+ came up, the One S broke up with the One X and got in love to One X+. It's a never ending love story.

my explanation is still valid, I told you why it lagged. It has nothing to do with the processor, but with the phone config and task'manager... not with the phone quality or software integration....

Both has different Screen Technology. S-LCD 2 for the One X (Which make it more brighter than the One S) While the One S has Super AMOLED Display

One S FTW. Enough for anything, even for the newest games (Modern Combat 4, GTA Vice City etc), and much smaller than the One X, can handle with one hand.

If you are more into gaming and media the HTC one X is the right one for you but if you only need a phone for calling, texting, browsing and a few casual gaming then buy the One S.
