Best Camera Phones for Video Recording (2020) | Vlogger's Delight

Review round-up of the best smartphones for shooting video in 2020, which is especially important for any wannabe vloggers or directors who want a portable, affordable camera. While the likes of the Pixel 4 sport great optics for capturing photos, I've found that only a handful can film fantastic home movies - and here's my favourite mobiles out of all I've reviewed.

Samsung's flagship mobiles are a solid choice for video. These cameras capture up to 4K resolution movies at 30 or 60 frames per second. Image stabilisation is impressive, audio quality is just as great and you get the likes of live bokeh if you grab the Galaxy S10 5G or Note 10.

Apple is also one of the best out there for video, its iPhone 11 camera offering a choice of standard or wide angle views. Stabilisation is again very impressive, as is the sound pickup. And if you're not that loaded, try the OnePlus 7T smartphone. This can again shoot 4K 60FPS footage, on a tighter budget.

I love the Cinema Pro mode on the Xperia 5 and 1 from Sony, which delivers total control for a film-like finish. And Asus' Zenfone 6 impresses with its flippable camera, perfect for vlogging.

I notice frame jumping in the video, starting at 55 seconds. I see that often while watching mobile footage. Does someone know what is causing it? It leaves me confused: Is it overheating, slow storage speed, can't my computer handle it, can't Youtube handle it or is it something else? A man needs answers!

It would been more better if the audio was also from the mobile itself while you're speaking about them

All companies should work more on the video recording department. There is still a lot more to be desired, unlike taking pictures, which comes really close to a DSLR quality.

what spec to actually focus on when trying to get a phone that can capture the best video quality / crisp video? is it sensor size or pixel size? or aperture? can someone prioritize the importance?
Why is my S8+ so good with pics compared to A50s even when A50s seems to be much better?

Hey there, I am looking for the best fitting camera for recording dance videos. What would be your suggestion?
It won't be much movement from one place to another, but a lot of movement from my body haha. I cannot afford a DSLR camera as of now and my iPhone 8 is not bringing the best quality. With phones I can have some contract deals at least. Please share your suggestions, thanks :))

What annoys me about filming YouTube videos my smartphone - an Alcatel XL - is the audio sometimes goes out of synch, so that I end up looking like a badly dubbed actor from a foreign film. I use one of those small mikes that clip onto your shirt, so do you think they are any good, or would you recommend getting a better mike?

Many vloggers would use front-facing camera and it needs to record good sound. Most videos talk about the back cameras and ignore the sound.
