What about if I don’t have a friend who can connect me to a job interview? I think you should also focus on how to get a job without having a friend who can connect you with employers

I've recently graduated from a college, and earned Security+. I'm finally about to land my first job, and I'm excited. It's a great field to get into.

After working on NACS, ACS, ICE, ASA, AMP, Firepower for over 16 years all day every day I can tell you that the rabbit hole goes real deep, then you get into network forensics, remapping SSL's and more. Nobody wants to hire a newbie. Network Security and surveillance is about to explode, I want to ride that wave.

Suppose all I have is a Security+ certification. What would be the next step? How does one get hired from that point to accrue real-life experience?

What a shame. I just enrolled to take Cyber Security classes. But after looking around for jobs, seems like everyone is asking for a security clearance. Smh my past comes back to haunt me. Everyone makes mistakes, it's just crazy I gotta pay for it for the rest of my life. Do you know of any other companies that that employs people with Cyber Security degrees? Or are my classes just a waste of time and money? Thanks in advance for your relply.

I recently enrolled in school for a Cyber Security Major and IT as my Minor. Any tips? Starting early into my 30's after military service so I'll be a bit older than most.
