The btcc late 90s was amazing wished it could of carried on it's still good but not the same. The supertourers where something else compaired to even cars today.

Believe it or not, these cars had effectively a *sister category* in the World Rally Championship at one point - the FIA 2-Litre Championship for manufacturers. The cars follow a similar specification to the Super-Tourers; 2000cc, 275-300HP naturally-aspirated four-bangers with front wheel drive and weighing less than a tonne on the curb. The biggest differences between these Kit-Cars and the Souper-Tourers are less sophisticated aerodynamics, softer springs with more suspension travel, and a passenger seat for the navigator so that the cars can handle the rough-and-tumble world of Stage Rally.

People need to understand just how fast these were. Current BTCC cars are doing mid to high 50's compared to this which was in the low 50's which for a FWD car is amazing. Supertouring was really something else.

Jeez almost flat out barely coming off the throttle for one or two corners but it such a sexy car regardless I love these era of BTCC cars as I have a soft spot for Nissan 😊
