I just noticed, the count of the Mario’s at the beginning say 128, which if you don’t know is a reference to the GameCube tech demo “Mario 128”.

So many references! But I’d have to say, my favorite one here is the 8-bit Paper Mario battle theme.

What a great video! I enjoyed a lot of the smaller parts, like Luigi’s cameos, the piranha plant carnivorously eating Mario and the fire Koopa’s betrayal scene. Seeing Bowser in a red shell was pretty great too, especially when the other bowser made fun of him for it.
