Honda CR-V in snow

Just showing a Honda CR-V snow capabilities. Pretty good actually. It was pretty deep, the camera doesn't do the justice.

Later that day we were playing in the parking lot and drifting. 2ft deep snow is NOTHING for this little SUV. It handles it like there's nothing.

Honda vehicles, the best engeniring in the business, I have a Honda Pilot and my wife has a Honda Accord, before I had a Honda Civic. In my humble opinion Honda vehicle are the most reliable vehicles in the business hands down.

This CR-V is MUCH better than the new one.

My 2016 CRV does pretty well in the snow with a good set of snow tires. The biggest complaint is the general lack of ground clearance on the CRV compared to some other crossovers. If it gets stuck it is invariably because it got high centered. Honda doesn't build these to do any more "off roading" than maybe a gravel road, or decent dirt road, out to a fishing spot; but that doesn't mean the don't need ground clearance! Snow piles up pretty fast and 8-12 inch drifts are fairly common when the wind comes up. A couple more inches would be very beneficial. I've looked for a lift kit but can only find them for older CRVs.

Our CR-V will go go go in the snow! Stopping and turning however are pretty terrible, particularly the latter. Over-steer on snowy / icy roads is so bad that I honestly feel safer in my RWD Miata MX-5 with chains!

Just got a Subaru Forester that is said to do great in the snow, can’t wait till winter to try it out. That is if we get snow this winter. We have gotten snow every winter for years but it never sticks around long term.

I wish we had the choice of diesels here in the US. The EPA regulations have pretty much killed the possibility of diesels in passenger cars.

I have a Honda Element, and it fears no snow too though I rarely see snow here.

Just a video i was looking for.. gonna get the same car for comming winter and i really have not had any idea how does those perform in winter. Even tho winters over here are quite insane, i have always manage to "survive" without ever having any 4wd vehicles before.

People crying it's easy only cuz of good winter tires... i'd say fu.. if you're strugling... there is no 4x4 in the world that works in snow that deep if you use tires that are not purposely build for snow. Cheers

Despite the V4, its a great car for the snow :)

1. Did you have winter tires on?
2. Is that an AWD CR-V?

My mistake, this is a I4 but it is 2.4L

It is not a legitimate 4x4, but It does its job well. I have some videos about CRV on my Channel.
