Nice guy. A few months before he passed he played a a casino in AZ. I Asked him to play Guacamole and he did only if I danced with an elderly lady that sat next to me. We got up and had the best dance to that song. He met me afterwards and thanked me for asking for that song and signed my cowboy hat.
RIP Mr Fender !!!

His two sons were killed in a car wreck on Joe Bald Road on the Joe Bald Penninsula of Table Rock Lake Missouri near my sisters house. One brother died in my sisters arms.
I saw him a year later driving his vintage Chevy in Branson Mo. He looked so sad

My dad and Freddy grew up in the same area. When he was young dad used to tell stories about him. Dad thought it was funny that when he first started out, him and his buddies used to strip cars. And that's how he got his albums made. I grew up with his music. And still love his music today.
