Prof. Matt McCormick, Dept. of Philosophy at California State University, Sacramento, gives his first lecture explaining Bayes' Theorem. We discuss deriving Bayes' Theorem from the Conditional Probability Rule, the general form of Bayes' Theorem, Bayes' Theorem for Two Mutually Exclusive Hypotheses, the prior probability, the posterior probability, likelihoods, and so on. We also consider some examples in English to try to understand conceptually what the Bayes equation means.
