There are many ways to prove Bayes' theorem. This is an alternative proof which is more algebra heavy and doesn't rely on a strong knowledge of conditional probability.

I am an Engineer, not a medical professional. I chose the topic of Covid because it's a fantastic example to teach Bayes' theorem. Do not use this video for medical advice.

3:32 The only thing that gives this false "intuition" — which is *not an intuition at all but a lot of taught and learned bullshit* — is people suggesting that it's counterintuitive and somehow shouldn't be.
State that this is perfectly normal and people would not even think that it could be otherwise.
