Baptiste has probably my favorite backstory, personally. That moment when he realized he had become the same thing that took everything away from him, he chose to change his future. Became a hero.

Honestly, I feel like Baptiste is one of the most realistic characters in Overwatch; you're not likely to come across a cyborg ninja, a talking gorilla from the moon, or a genetically altered blue sniper. But a kid impacted by war, grew up with a bad crowd, and is now fighting to make a difference? I'm sure plenty of people can relate to that experience.

I love how baptistes charicter gives a great reason for why so many people joined talon, playing through the missions I've been wondering why so many people fight for that group.
Its because they were orphand by the omnic wars, or were made desperate by it in some way. The world of overwatch was irreversibly changed by the omnics and it's clear in every interaction
