Like you said at the beginning, I think what makes Faide "special" is just how good he is at balancing being passive. He will do absolutely everything to single people out and separate them from their group, even if it takes 5+ minutes for that to happen.

The "Faide Quick Slide" is basically just doing a slide immediately after sprinting forward with your gun holstered. Since it's based on your movement speed, having your gun out makes you not able to do a slide right away after sprinting. This is one of the key reasons Faide is always holstering his gun where many others don't. In the Mokey video example, he starts the slide from a crouched position. The key there is to start sprinting while you're still crouched, and take into account the 150ms or so animation of uncrouching. So, crouched > sprint > forward > wait 150ms > slide. This gives it the appearance of starting a slide almost instantly after being crouched while behind cover, and opponents will not expect it or be able to react fast enough.

4:11 I believe mokey called it the "faide" slide because it was mostly used and noticed in faide and isn't that hard to do once you get the hang of it
