PETITTI Early Fall Container Gardening

As we head into September, it’s time to start thinking about updating container gardens for fall. There is no shortage of gorgeous color that will last in your containers well into the fall. Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to see what’s available this fall along with tips for maximizing the value of these plants. As with all containers, start with a thriller, such as an annual grass or Millett. Then, pack your container full of fall color with pansies, ornamental kale, mums and Celosia. One of the great things about pansies and even ornamental kale is their ability to withstand cooler temperatures. These beauties thrive in cool weather and will keep performing well into the winter months.
