Will, I just purchased the Epson ES-580W scanner. I put in an old black and white photo, along with colored photos and it scanned the black and white "photo" as though I had used a copy machine. There was also one of the colored photos that came out black and white. Any ideas what may be the cause? There was one setting that I found (don't remember where) and it showed my photo just beautifully. I "saved" and did a preview and thought I was good. It came out as the bad photo. I may be missing a step. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

How do I set up for 1) switch between usb or wifi? 2) Need to use this in my car (I have the powersource planned out already) but need to use this either with usb or with hotspot but the epson es-500w only wants to recognize my home wifi.

I could not locate the website to download the es400 was not listed I have the es 402 and it was not listed in order for me to do my download

Does anyone know if there is a way to retrieve scanned files from this scanner? I have searched my computer from top to bottom and found nothing. Are these scans lost and unretrievable ?

I used to be able to just press the scanning button and scan and it would prompt me to a page where I could save the document in different places in my computer and now it isn't even scanning.

I had line setup fine and recently changed my router and ever since cannot get mine to connect to wifi or setup via usb… would greatly appreciate anyone’s help as well.

I’ve tried changing the default scan settings to readjust the brightness, contrast, and gamma so that it’ll better detect documents with pencil writing and photos on them... but whenever I save my reconfigured settings they never stick! Is anyone else having this issue? Anytime I rescan, it always goes back to the default settings.
