Transcendent self-possession and self-discovery by the greatest of all artists...

It always makes me so happy to hear the theme return at 8:12. It being augmented is somewhere between silly and grandiose.

Stephen, I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watch this video. Now I’m going to send this to my brothers and sisters for Father’s Day. We lost my dad in Feb. 2018. He adored Beethoven. I’m the only other classical music lover in my large family. I’m going to send your video, because I think the visual helps you hear the music better. I think it’s easier listening to a 10 minute video with graphics like you used here. And I think this is one of Beethoven’s most playful pieces. So thank you for providing a gift I can give my family to remember our Dad.❤️

It's a bit unusual for this movement to be theme and variations, given that the last (as well as the first) movement of a symphony is usually in sonata form.

I'm so happy that you decided to do Eroica! I had wanted to request it, but I read your FAQ, so instead I've been watching your channel with eager hopefulness, knowing that I'd enjoy whatever you posted, even if it wasn't Eroica.

I’ve “listened” to this music many times, but never “heard” it before I saw it here today!

5:59 My favorite part in the entire movement. That moment is foreshadowed by 5:31 (I think, i may be overanalysing)
