I wish I had run across this video several years ago. I use some of the tools you demonstrated, but not near as efficiently. That's the problem with being a self taught user of Sketchup. I've drawn some pretty intricate renderings with Sketchup, but probably took 10 times longer to do it because I don't fully understand the application or methods of using these tools. You take the tediousness out of Sketchup. Thanks buddy.

Boy you are good Justin. Thankyou. Ive made many great intricate landscapes and homes over the years with SU but everytime I watch your vids I find another example of why it takes me so long to make my models. I always have a deadline and am surrounded by pressing distractions so usually I just have to pick one or two new things to learn from you how to do differently for each new project. Thanks to you I can improve, albeit even in slow increments.

OMG thank you so much I feel like this video was the easiest to understand the tools and other extensions as well. I will try them out and let you know back in a comment.

Thank you! Was looking for how to create intersecting bevelled edges. This worked at ~ 4:50 for others looking for the same.

Great video. Spheres always annoyed me, until I found out that you can't make spheres without holes in them unless the radius is at least 68mm (67.9mm).
Eg. if you try making a smaller sphere, you'll get a sphere with a face that's not fully closed.
I decided to try changing the radius until I found the point where the surface no longer has holes.
If you need a smaller sphere, create a 100mm sphere, then use the scale tool to scale it down.
-I'm still having trouble slicing small spheres without their faces getting messed up.

Edit: Hint ... If things break, try drawing it oversize and scale it down. Sometimes I draw things in meters and scale down to millimeters (/1000), that usually helps - but some precision is definitely lost when scaling down, so don't expect perfection.

Looking for a way to create a flared object that is not equal on all sides, like a curved copper hood with matching curves on the sides but the front is not the same radius....thanks
