Sir, in case 1, had the vector been uniform in the y direction and not x y_cap, we would still get a curling path while travelling in the x direction, but the curl would be zero. So, is it better to modify the physical interpretation of curl as being non-zero only when the vector undergoes a change in the perpendicular direction?

Is that curl value a vector field? I don’t think that makes much sense. How do you find the curl at any specific point in space?
