Put in simple turns. Carbon fiver is made of 50% plastig based glue which melts and catches fire easily

As a collision tech, I can assure everyone that no matter what. If you are caught trapped inside of either car you will not survive. Everything on a car is flammable. Even the steal is moderately flammable as the chemicals mixed into it can catch on fire and burn. All the plastics, paints, seam sealer, rubber, and foam they put in cars is all flammable.

Its a composite. There are many different resins to infuse the cloth with which also have different properties inc high temp stable and with high resistance to combustion. There also different types of carbon cloth too. If you want a specific quality and performance envelope, then it can be accommodated. As with anything in life, it comes at a cost etc.

short answer.. because the epoxy used for the carbon fibre burns away leaving the carbon matts steel doesnt get hot enough to melt in a normal car fire.
