Osteoarthritis (OA) - Degenerative Joint Disease - Quick Review - Rheumatology Playlist. Lower back pain.

Osteoarthritis is divided into primary (idiopathic) and secondary (2ry to something else such as trauma, congenital anomaly, inflammatory arthritis,...etc).

Osteoarthritis (OA) is characterized by osteophytes (bony projections) in the DIP (Heberden nodes) and PIP (Bouchard nodes).

OA is diagnosed clinically and radiologically (x-ray)...You might need to do some labs to rule out other diseases.

I'm sorry at 2:25, the definition of idiopathic caught me off guard and made me laugh so hard. The way you defined it sounded so official, like that was the actual definition with you breaking down the word and everything. Thank you for all your little jokes throughout your videos! They really help to lighten the weight of learning all this heavy content!
