Such a sweet and innocent voice who vocalized what every single audience member was thinking! I love this!

Inspired by the boy's response at this performance, the James River Singers of Richmond, Virginia collaborated with Autism Society Central Virginia to give a free private choral concert last night for autistic people and their families. The program included seasonal music by Ola Gjeilo, Francesco Durante, Keith Tan, Eric Whitacre, Karl Dent, Kim Andre Arnesen, and Damon Dandridge. The audience was attentive and enthusiastic. We were blessed, everyone, indeed.

This viral "Wow" uttered by 9-year-old Ronan Mattin, who is autistic/non-verbal, inspired Todd Boss to write the book, "The Boy Who Said Wow".

Moved to tears by this, the beauty and tragedy of Mozart's short life and that the industry of that life can touch the heart of an innocent child over 200 years later. This must be my favourite YouTube short clip, it captures so much in such a short time... Much like Mozart.

As stories tend to try to be more heart warming they lose their truths. The real story is in one simple word: WOW. Pure, innocent response to Mozart.

YES! The purity and emotional connectivity of Mozart’s music is something that children innately understand. It’s the same way I became attached to it at such a young age too. I will never stop loving Mozart’s music and I bet neither will that boy! ❤

I found this news from an English tutor website. It was a delight to hear the child personally. And the fact is according to the article I have read. they were looking after the child in the background to make him as a guest for the next performance. Sweet child indeed.

Communication is always key. We are always communicating even when it's nonverbal.

That's what Mozart's music does to me every single day of my life, and I can't stop loving it. ❤️

Picasso: "It took me ... a lifetime to paint like a child." This child appreciates music at a level most 'sophisticated' adults have lost, or had civilized or socialized out of them. Maybe, like Picasso, we can attempt to relearn that child-like joy.

Got out of my viola lesson this week and this moment was what they were talking about on NPR. Serendipitous. Just the inspiration I needed.

Music moves EVERYONE! It helps us to relax, makes us cry and dance. We carry songs in our heads till the day we die. It brings back a thousand memories. You haven't found the right genre if you don't love music. Beautiful. Just beautiful.
