If there is a God, he or she would surely understand a doubting person because without proof there's no reason to believe so. Any being that was so important in the universe would certainly have understandings for human frailty period but why does such a enormous being a God? Needs so much praise. Are they so insecure about their importance that they need people to constantly remind them how great they are. And to beg for everything!

Buddy had religious people show up at his door.
He told them that he could not join their religion because he would have to lower his moral standards to do so.
Then he asked to see one of their holy books, and he opened it to the part where god commands his followers to kill all their adversaries, including women, children, infants, livestock, and everything of theirs right down to the very last blade of grass.
Those people quit the church.

Some time later, the church elders came to his door, and this time one of them brought a young girl with them.
Again, he explained that he would have to lower his moral standards, and this time when he asked to see one of their holy books, he turned to the part where god is commanding you to slay your own children if they do not believe in god.
He said I should have seen the look on that little girl's face ... I can only imagine.
