Marisa Abela to play Amy Winehouse in new biopic

Excuse me, have you seen this film? Yes, Marisa Avela might have not looked identical to Amy Winehouse, however, she's excellent playing Amy. The cast was excellent and this film became an instant masterpiece !.

She doesn't look whatsoever like Amy. That being said, Amy's beauty was very unique, I'm sure not many people have the same combination of beautiful full cheeks and hazel eyes. Those pics don't look interesting in any way, but I hope they can pull up at least an average ok film without being insensitive to her legacy. RIP to her beautiful and talented soul ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Give this film a chance. I feel like the actress, Marisa Abela, did fantastic with her portrayal and vocals. Some of the scenes from this movie were so beautiful. I don’t want to give anything away.

Amy is probably one of the artists that mean the most to me because when I was battling alcoholism I felt like she was the only person who understood what I was feeling, she helped me not feel alone in the most alone time of my life, I don’t think they should make any movie on her because they will mess it up and they will misunderstand her, not to mention they just want to make money off her name while also extending all the heartbreak and dark times she had with the media while failing to realize that the only person that could successfully tell her story is her, how she lived is the biopic now please leave that queen alone

The actor doesn't have to look like the artist necessarily... the objective if an actor is being a good actor only and everyone rathers a good actress who interprets Amy than a bad ine that looks just like her... I honestly dont see the problem

Amy would’ve hated this film and that’s what matters… not for the actress’s performance or lack thereof, but for the mere fact she was miserable towards the end of her career and despised the limelight, the paparazzis, the constant scrutiny, and so on. She was a brilliant singer and song writer, and we should leave her to rest with some dignity.

Saw the film today, it was great. One of the better biopics I've seen. She did a great job playing a very complicated and troubled genius. Did a good job on vocals also (but machines these days they can make Jagger sound like Duffy)

I saw the movie today and I think people need to see the actress perform in the movie to judge accurately. I think the actress they chose did a great job of portraying Amy in a very human way, not glorifying or glamorizing her suffering and complications. She looks enough like Amy in her dark hair and eyeliner, accent and swagger to pull it off and the actress played Amy beautifully! Joaquin Phoenix didn't look at all like Johnny Cash but he still did a phenomenal performance!!
