I recently had this problem too. As mentioned below for the latest update of 1.6.8.5 (Jun 24, 2023) you need to add to the SD card both the .bin file an the TFT35 folder for the icons update. The trick for me was that once the firmware update was completed it stayed at 100%. At this point do not remove the SD card simply restart the printer and it will automatically start phase 2 of the update. It will basically update all the icons. The menu icons are now fixed!

The setup manual says to update the firmware and motherboard. Installing the motherboard files in the manual was vague due to the language border. The regular firmware file seems easy to install but it looks like the firmware on the website is actually older then the firmware on the device. Guys and girls make sure the firmware you "update" to is newer.

I started with an Anet A8 many years ago and learned alot buiding and modding it. Last year or maybe 2 years ago I bought an Ender 3 and upgraded it. I am itching to buy a new printer for $200 - $300. Any recomendations? I am always watching your reviews but have not yet decided what to get. I need to spend more time on tinkercad to make more complex designs. With your help I have made objects that meet the needs around the house. Again thank you.
