The fact that he made No more parties in LA on his iPad says enough

I started listening to DOOM when I was 15 then I found Madlib soon after and I’ve never heard better beats than madlibs and never heard better rhymes than DOOM’s

Over the last 25 years, Madlibs music is so incredibly diverse. The Quasimoto beats are totally different to the Freddie Gibbs stuff, which is then totally different to the Jaylib & Madvillainy and shades of blue beats. But you’ll find similar trends across most of these albums which relates to where he sources his samples - bollywood & Brazilian soul for example

I have been a silent viewer for close to two years now, and it makes me happy how far you've come. You're one of the best teachers I have seen and have a very high production quality, every subscriber is deserved

My 3 Best producers of all time.
Madlib
The Alchemist
J Dilla

In that order.
I'm a Dilla student before you come for me.
BombSquad were the Blueprint though

Madlib for me has always been the distillation of simplicity over complexity, when it comes to beats. Simplicity meaning not adding unnecessary complexity to samples but instead musically looping and reshaping them. Idk if that makes sense totally, but definitely feels like he's collabing with the original artist to createsomething raw, new or flipping it entirely. When I first heard Raid on Adult Swim watching The Boondocks back in 2000 whenever, it kicked off something for me sound wise, there's just something about the way he makes a beat that calls back to that feeling of watching Swim bumps in your living room late at night or riding the bus in LA.

Your ability to break down and hunt down the samples is second to none

I'm absolutely hype for this video. Madlib, Dilla and The Alchemist are my biggest inspiration. I've been studying his Medicine Show Series as I would like to mix beats like that. His top 5 easily.

Same sample was use by Royce in Boblo Boat, also great way to flip it.

The part about having the same resources and samples MADLIB has is really inspiring. One of my favorite things about the modern era is how low the walls to creation have become. Yes, it's lead to a lot of uninspired stuff by people just trying to make a buck, but the fact that every potential producer is empowered through the sheer amount of resources we have access to now and can potentially reach the same level as the Madlibs or Dillas through refining their craft and just working at it, without worrying about being priced out or running out of samples is truly beautiful and inspiring to me.

What a Day flew under my radar, ty VERY much for making it appear in this video, it's beautiful.
Making raw music really is such a cheat code btw., love how anything goes if you just do it well.

This is refreshing! I do a lot of these very same things, albeit to a lesser extant in terms of success and talent, but this is a nice confidence booster. lol Thanks, Navie!
