0:01 - *Prophase:* The chromatin condenses, coiling and spiralizing into distinct chromosomes. The nucleolus disappears, and the centrosomes begin to create a spindle.
0:13 - *Prometaphase:* The nuclear membrane disintegrates, and the chromosomes are freed into the cytoplasm. The spindle invades the nuclear space, attaching to the chromosomes.
0:21 - *Metaphase:* The chromosomes are lined across the equator by the spindle, awaiting seperation.
0:40 - *Anaphase:* The sister chromatids are pulled apart, and each group of daughter chromosomes are pulled to opposite ends of the cell. The spindle causes the cell to elongate for seperation, and Cytokinesis begins.
0:45 - *Telophase:* The spindle dissolves, the chromosomes unwind back into chromatin, and new nuclear membranes and nucleoli form. Cytokinesis finishes shortly after through a contractile ring, seperating the two new cells.

The pics in books looked fantasy to me, but this is real

I think the process is so amazing but it gives me goosebumps the way they all cluster and separate likeee

all the while the nucleus engaged in this very civil, and well choreographed and well engineered dance, the cytoplasm contrasted with frenzies of activity and vigor that bombarded the centerstage with fanaticism. metaphase looked almost artificial (and alien), everybody lining up in a tight organized way with impregnated suspense. and i cant get over how cataclysmic anaphase is, all the build-up in the previous phases erupt in a sudden climax.

i have found this video which shows clear mitosis as in books they say it is a continuous division with no phases. as phases are named for simplicity and understanding.

amazing
