Mingus Bailout LZ Cleanup 5-18-13

The Arizona Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (AZHPA) hosted and staffed a cleanup of the bailout LZ for Mingus mountain in Cottonwood AZ on Saturday May 18, 2013. We had a great turnout of over 20 pilots with chainsaws, weed whackers and pruners to cut out the immature Mesquite trees and other bushes that were littering the bailout Land ing Zone, which is a mile or two so West of the Cottonwood airport. The highlight of the day was a visit from Bob Buxton and his wife Betty. Bob is well on the road to recovery after a flying adventure he had a few months ago. Welcome back Bob, and many thanks to all who came out and helped make the bailout a safer LZ!
