My father was a computer programmer for a large pharma company throughout the '80s and '90s, and he used to bring home stuff like this all the time to "test." I never saw this unit, specifically, but messed around with ones veeeery similar.

No hard drive? Also I often wonder how do people use DOS, no GUI PC back in the day.

Hi i have one here now
saved from work they were getting rid of the old stuff until they found a wooden box with this portable amstrad PPD640
waaaw i couldn't let this happen and took it home with me.
saved from death at lost moment
and working it boots with the floppy to dos prompt

Amstrad PPC 512 with integrated 20 Megabyte harddrive. Still fully functional.
