Today I'd walk you through my process for redesigning a screen in a mobile app.

The app we're working on is called PayUp, a Ghanaian fintech app that allows people send money across continents, create & use virtual cards for subscription & transaction etc.

I tried finishing the redesign in under an hour but it look longer than expected. I think the outcome was worth it though.

Keep in mind that this redesign is by no means perfect. To truly improve the design and experience of an app, more time is required to understand, design and test the decision made.

This is a great visual redesign. It's clearer, neater and more compelling. However, I think the primary action buttons (Add money and Send money) are now harder to reach for people who would want to operate their devices with one hand.
