Jay, if you want, I can tall you where to find 12V incandescent meter lamps made to go inside the VU meters of audio gear. Put one inside each gauge, below the bezel, where it will shine a soft yellow light on the meter scales, and BAM! Real retro meter look!

When you said you turn your lights off, I thought you meant the RGB lights. Cause I do that. I don’t like the case glowing off to the side when I’m trying to focus. Overhead lights I keep on when gaming, helps reduce eye fatigue.
