The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed (Russian: Собор Василия Блаженного), commonly known as Saint Basil's Cathedral, is a church in Red Square in Moscow, Russia. The building, now a museum, is officially known as the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat. It was built from 1555–61 on orders from Ivan the Terrible and commemorates the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan. A world famous landmark, it was the city's tallest building until the completion of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in 1600.

Hi Third Rome, thank you so much for uploading these videos. Listening to them during prayer and reading is a blessing. I am a newcomer to Orthodoxy and was introduced to these hymns from "Pane, daj nam svetlo" in another video. These are some of the most beautiful sounds a human can make. God bless you 📿

What’s this type of chant called? It’s very different from Byzantine chanting that I’m used to. It’s beautiful too (all though I prefer Byzantine personally bc that’s what I’m familiar with).

It sounds very western like something Roman Catholics would sing not in a bad way though.

I believe that russia is the third rome. My oca catechism said this was a theory. Is there any good information i can use to show others that it is.

Normally, russian orthodox says 'amen' or 'ameen/amin'? I thought 'amin' is only for Muslim.
