It's road trip time! London to the Alps with skis and luggage, 1,052km in a day with the AMG GT R, let's go! After no trouble loading up the boot of the car including a pair of skis, let's hit the roads via the Eurotunnel down through France towards Megeve in the Alps. Do you think there's an AMG GT R out there doing more mileage than mine?

Having bought this car as very much one that can be used for all purposes and to truly mile crunch across the continent, it seemed only appropriate that as the snow falls in the Alps to get back on the roads to get there and have a few ski days. The AMG GT R ends the day with 6,000km on the clock and this is only the start, more is coming, watch this space.

Last summer i did 1200 km in my 78hp red little manual Alfa Mito, with no cruise control. From Milan to the Atlantic Ocean in France, it took me 16 hours, of which 12 at the wheel. Totally worth it 😂
