Im playing a dwarf in a pathfinder campaign and they are one of the only ones in the group with a non depressing backstory. The dwarf is just a laborer for the docks, a volunteer militia man for the town and a brewer for events. He also worships the goddess of art and peace. And he is a barbarian with a great axe and high damage and tank capabilities.
