The ending of the story is kind of nice. Lois Lane, confronts him, screaming at him that with his strength and his powers and his vulnerability he doesn’t need to hurt people. He doesn’t need to be dark. He doesn’t need to inspire fear.

It does get a little screwy with Lex Luther becoming the joker because of an industrial accident, but when the joker decides to set off bombs all around the city, stop it and then he eventually decides that he should live up to what season and becomes Superman.
