So, I just have to tell you, I adore window flower boxes too. My colors are the purples, pinks, blues & light yellows and the plant stock becuz it smells so! good. It's fregrence will come right through your window & into your home, even my bedroom at night while sleeping & there's just nothing like it. So I plant the window boxes with all these gorgeous colors out on my deck. They're so pretty I just want to be out on the deck all the time. So I eat out there on the deck all the time. Read out there, am on the computer & and do my watercolor painting on the deck as well. Flowers just make you happy no matter what & it's great to have your face in their faces especially when you're planting them in the spring. I mean, could life be much better?! LOL. And then each spring I get to have the same pleasure and joy, as I'm sure every body else does, that also loves flowers. But for me then, the real topper on it was when I ran into a women that recognized me but I didn't know who told me she walks down my street just so she can look at my window boxes! I was really touched but just knew what flowers could do. I was happy they could give somebody else so much joy & happiness as they gave me & was glad they'd brightened someone else's days. I just thought I'd pass on this "happy flower" story to someone else who loves flowers & might understand.
