Finally, a video that goes through the legacy and importance of the KJV. When I searched it, all that came up were videos on the controversy on KJV-only. I just want to see an honest appreciation of it, and this video did that!

Catholic here, but I still love and read the King James Version (with all the books of course), it's a masterpiece of the English language

I wish I could have enjoyed it more, but the music is too loud drowning out the dialogue.

The NKJV is NOT a "fifth revision of the original", it is an entirely new work, which deviates from the KJV in 1200 places in the N.T., then following the critial text. It is absolutely no use. It changes the narrow way to a "difficult" way in Matthew 7:13-14, thus making salvation difficult (works salvation), whereas narrow relates to having to abstain from wordly things. The NKJV stands for the NON King James Version. I stick with the King's Book, the AV, till my dying day, and let Satan wipe his rear end in hell with his cheap immitation.

I have been very fortunate as it appears to be very difficult to come by & that is the King James Version/New King James Version parallel Bible - I treasure it!

There is a great and very readable book describing the making of the Bible. "God's Secretaries: The making of the King James Bible" by Adam Nicholson. An excellent read, with lots of sidelights and insights. I am a non-believer, although I was raised in a Chrsitian family. But, non-believer that I am, I still have a great deal of respect for the English of the King James Bible. It is no surprise to me that it was written at the same time as Shakespear was writing plays. The language they used was very poetic, and powerful. Newer translations are pale and lifeless by comparison.

I only made it 7 minutes and 45 seconds into this video. The music in the background completely drowned out any chance of me concentrating on what was being said. I have a lot of patience and I have a lot of curiosity however I believe the music was unnecessary. The amount of suspense leading up to the purpose of this video is also a necessary. These are my opinions. I am sad that I cannot get through the rest of this video to find out everything I wanted to know concerning this topic.

I think you forgot to mention he was also A slave owner a man of war a man who was under the same monarchy as the royal family bloodline of free masons he didn’t authorize the bible until it was filled with what he wanted to hear in it he had it written over and over because he didn’t like what some of the books said about kings and rich men speaking of such isn’t there a passage that says “it is easier for a camel to fit thru the hole of a needle than a rich man to enter gods kingdom “ 🤔 and we are supposed to believe that one of the richest king to have ever lived was inspired by god to authorize a book for salvation smh people need to do there own research on who king James really was and what he stood for and stop making up fairy tale beliefs of him like this video what about the people before 1605 are they all burning in hell because they didn’t have the translation of the bible king James made ? Why are the Chinese and the Indians and other nations of people not mentioned in the bible did they nøt exist I don’t think I need to go further people need to wake up and start doing there research and start thinking for themselves.

Anyone else find this somewhat Romanticized. "England had never seen a King like this."... etc.
5:55 It's pronounced with a short E: Sess-le for Cecil.
How did they record that conversation around 6:00 when recording devices hadn't been invented yet??
