The full story of building our classic wooden sailing dinghy named Moonlight. Our sailboat is a classic wooden boat. She is a 12 ft clinker cruising dinghy built from Huon Pine in Tasmania in 1980 and perfect for the sailing life on Tasmania's East Coast, The Freycinet Peninsula, Coles Bay, and some of the inland waters of Tasmania.

These days, we have relocated to Queensland where we enjoy Sailboat Cruising, exploring our favourite cruising grounds including Moreton Bay, Hervey Bay, The Great Sandy Strait, and the coast of Fraser Island, a world heritage listed island off the coast of South East Queensland.

Sailing Moonlight features a series of adventures in building, maintaining, and sailing wooden boats and classic fibreglass boats. We enjoy the sailing part best, but in general, we enjoy "Mucking around in boats" on and off the water.
