Inside India's gay conversion industry

Despite being widely discredited, gay conversion therapy is still practised by doctors in India who are profiting from the despair of LGBT+ people who feel rejected by society.

Sky News' Asia correspondent Cordelia Lynch has gone undercover to speak to the doctors in India offering a 'gay cure'.

Wow, getting to see an NHS LGBTIQ conversion therapist doctor in the UK is almost impossible to treat the medical deviancy. Having to go to India would be expensive. Even Canada will offer Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) for such conditions, which is a really permanent solution. A UK research PhD paper entitled 'The effect of LSD and other Psilocybin neurological Pharmaceuticals, Electroconvulsive and anal electrocution pain inductive methods, Traditional Exorcism and other conventional Psychological methods in LGBTIQ reparative conversion therapy' would never get a UK research grant.

Here in the UK there are Billions of ££ in research grant money issued in all areas of Scientific and Social Engineering research and yet not a single research grant into LGBTIQ Reparative Conversion therapy with intensive Psychological, drug development or neurological research or even Electroconvulsive therapy. The Boffins could surely come up with something and yet not a penny for research into a cure affecting so many lives.

After 75 years of so-called "independence", India is Rank 132 on HDI, and Rank 107 on Hunger Index - worse than Nigeria and North Korea. Clearly, we are unfit to rule ourselves 🙏🙏
