They better think twice before they decide to investigate the Jan.6th Committee. The final report will be there to read along with the fact that it will already be given to the DOJ and the special prosecutor who could have those on these committees being served with a subpoenas. I can name at least 6 or 7 congressmen who tried to delay the Presidential certification and the criminals want to investigate the crimes. It's like when the murderer wants to help search for the body.

If the GOP “investigates” the 1/6 committee they’ll give the committee the opportunity to publicly rub the GOP’s faces in their own criminality all over again.

But, if they hold one politician accountable, then it’s a slippery slope and all politicians could be held accountable!?! Where would this end?!? A functional democracy!!?

They need to realize that most of the voters want justice from these investigations

You can't believe anything Graham says. He'll flip flop at the slightest bit of pressure.

“The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition. When one party moves this far from the mainstream, it makes it nearly impossible for the political system to deal constructively with the country’s challenges.” - Ornstein and Mann

Let’s all remember, when you’re falling off a cliff all you can do is scream on the way down. This is the way it is with Trump Republicans. That’s their base. Where else are they going to go???

If the G O P is really that interested in investigating January 6th, let them! About what they might find it may just embarrass them more and reverse some more of the people (like me) change my political party from Republican to independent voters, thanks to Tramp. I was at one time aligned with the G O P, but not anymore!

Democrats only needs to work with 5-6 Independent / Moderate Republicans in the House. Should be possible.

Just think about the Jack Smith investigation. If there's a connection between the insurrectionists and our Congress members, and Jack Smith can make that connection? Our Judicial Department has the right to remove them from office through the 14 Amendment and the Section 3 clause.

Wasn't Jim Jordan a mandated reporter when those 30+ young men told a campus doctor assaulted them?
Isn't that an offence?

Let them splinter further, and destroy themselves.

They do not necessarily have to 'attack' Trump. Ignoring him and not paying too much attention to his audacious moves and snubbing him here and there where it matters should work just as fine.

"Mini-winning" is a great way of putting it. Short-sighted winning of districts, while ignoring huge blocks of constituents, and the mini-wins of "owning the libs" that are just a huge waste of time.

It's amazing what these politicians would do to protect someone like Trump at the same time vote no to everything to help everyday Americans as well as their own voters.

That's good to hear from Graham. It may make the investigations less bumpy. It doesnt speak well of Graham in any case. He bends with the breeze if someone across the room exhales

What's interesting to me in gauging my response to GOP tactics is.... I don't really care anymore. I used to be SO ANGRY with them and maybe scared or threatened by all their crazy tactics. ButI think decades of these "investigations" and tantrums have just worn me out, and I guess I truly believe the US is moving on from them and these are death rattles. Despite the Senate map for 2024 I feel very certain we're going to take the White House and the House... and depending on how annoyed people are with the Senate GOP possibly the Senate too. I just think the GOP is over.

Unfortunately unlike a cell when it divides it morphs into something new. Not the GOP it divides and gets worse.
