Put the Spreader down on the paper thickly. we've um we've mixed a pre-mixed [Music] paint so the acrylic derivan acrylic yeah the magenta and the fallow blue with 1.1 bit of paint one part one part paint and two parts spreader medium mix those up put them in a little um refillable refillable and then we've got a awesome little feather found by a light little palette knife and some spread medium and so we're just going to show you how to do it so this is a piece of paper this is a nice piece of paper but not too nice it's just a nice heavy weight heavy weight and what i'm doing is actually just putting down the spreader quite a bit of spread of medium down so as you're putting that down you notice here again like we keep talking about like we've talked to you about this before like spread a medium is like a fat water and you can see that because it's just sitting there like a gel yeah so you're to do a layer we're just doing a nice thick layer of it so i'm just going to um pop little bits areas so you're kind of pushing the uh pushing and pulling the feather pulling and kind of uh flipping at as well awesome that's kind of like it what is it a squiggly line it's a great tool isn't it because look at these gorgeous lines that the individual the little clumps of feathers are doing relaxing it is very easy to do what shouldn't you do is there anything that you should watch out for with this you probably shouldn't add too many colors because i see if we've got just the two colors and they're kind of mixing a third color which is that purple that you'll see but if you put too many colors then you'll often um you know get not the nicest of browns oh yeah we've talked about that yeah so think when you're thinking about the colors that you what you've chosen there like the magenta and the phthalo blue you chose them specifically to to kind of there they accentuate each other they look good together but then they also when combined they make a really lovely purple yeah so even if you before you do it just mix your two colors together and see what that third color is going to look like yeah and then leave it to dry now this is on paper it's about 120 grams so the paper that we've used and it's just a mixed media paper it does warp a little bit it's just the nature of introducing water to paper but as it dries it flattens out and then you can use this paper to work back into other works create other works what else could you do with it you could even like cut it cut it up to then cover a book for bookmaking bookmaking bookmaking cards cards uh wrapping paper um wrapping paper uh maybe wrapping paper that would have a note on it saying please reuse yeah yeah yeah cool things marbling on paper here we go easy it is so easy you've got to give it a go so spreader yep and derive an acrylic that's all you need and a nice um like reasonably heavy weight paper and a feather and a feather yeah get yourself a free feather outside in the park yeah go discover go find yourself a feather okay yeah okay so we've got to do the traditional it's the end of the video what do we do we always say please subscribe don't forget to subscribe yeah and we will see you very soon with some more art goodness yes yeah so thank you bye
