What temperature is the water in the beginning?

Hello. A few people have asked about the water. I have not seen an answer to that question. Can you tell us the temperature of the water? Would distilled water work better? Thank you for answering these questions.

Looks fun. Questions: (1) instead of pulling off extra paint after a first pull can you pull a ghost print until all the paint is gone? (2) how does marbling paper used for printing differ from regular paper, card stock, or papers used for ink work? (3) can you dip cotton fabric? Thank you.
