The emotion is a fun thing with houses. When I bought mine, I also thought I was going into it very rationally - and instead started crying in the house I ended up choosing because it felt like home. It did have built-in bookshelves and a dead end street that were pluses, but not much else. 13+ years now of slowly turning it into my style as I could afford to make the changes, and it was absolutely the right choice, no matter what my list said!

I definitely liked #1 the best. I lived next to my elementary school as a kid and later on in life when I moved, we lived across the street to the elementary school as well where my son went. It was a huge benefit.

They could take the doors off the closet in the hallway, put a bench seat and some hooks in there and it would be closer to a mudroom. The gas stove would be non-negotiable for me. All nice houses.

Property 1 was very cute and had the best curb appeal but i believe if money is put into 3, it will match up tp it. They made the right choice. I would pick 3 as well and extensively update it.
