Hey everyone! We made it. We laughed, we cried and we survived! Well 7 of them did anyway. Hope you enjoy the video. I will be posting a new one soon, and hopefully an orchid haul video. Please like and subscribe and leave me comments about what you would like to see. I have a few videos planned and I’m hoping post more often so I would appreciate ideas. Thank again for watching! ❤️

Your back patio is beautiful, too. Did you and your husband make the sofa and tables, too? In Melbourne, FL, I have around 25 orchids in growstone (plastic pots) and all love it except my oncidium. I just can't keep it hydrated. It produces new growth, but the bulbs never look good. I have a bag of lyca, but haven't used it yet. How do your oncidums do in lyca? I don't know if I should try that or just go back to bark for that one plant. I'm interested in you comparing the two mediums. I can't wait to see your new blooms soon! Thanks for the update on your growstone orchids, I've been following the entire year. Not many you tubers talk about it.

Something strange, your channel page only shows 4 videos? The video I watched last night (growstones post Irma) doesn't appear there. Weird. Anyway, if you're going to try an Oncidium type in growstones, go with something that has more substantial roots. Some of the Brassia hybrids (such as Bratonia Shelob 'Tolkien') would probably be a good choice as they have big old chunky roots. I tried my Twinkles in semi-hydro which seemed OK during the cooler months, boy did they object when the summer heat came. I had to move them into sphagnum in plastic net pots (which, BTW, are an excellent way of growing in FL, especially with organic medium).
