It's so important that we take care of our own needs without sacrificing our well-being to satisfy and please others. When you can, take breaks if need to, meditate, take a walk and be kind to yourself for the practice of self-care. Do whatever makes you feel that inner peace and calmness that's needed for your mental health and overall well-being.

Hey Mark, I can honestly say that it was being in this scenario which caused me to come across your channel a couple of years ago. I was also just discussing this topic with an online minister last night a few hours before your video came up. I know this is extra ministry and confirmation.

The only thing I'd have added is that sometimes people by God's grace are still moving forward and even meeting the right person to marry despite not having done the deep healing needed, so as a result they have a major crisis and a "car crash" somewhere down the road.

I wouldn't want dedicated believers to feel that the reason they're not making sufficient progress is because they need more healing than the shallow, narcissistic "Christian" who does not self-reflect but still gets "everything they want". Whom the Lord loves closely and intimately he chastens and disciplines so we must go to God's sanctuary and see that the ways of the unrighteous only prosper for a time as Psalm 73:18 shows us. Verse 21 tells faithful believers to not be bitter about the prosperity of those who run ahead with every material blessing but deny respect to God's word.

I've been thru a lot of deep childhood healing, but the church keeps saying God has to heal us. Well my experience isn't that God healed my several traumas/wounds. I've learned that he apparently needs us to learn to follow the second commandment to love ourselves... before we can love others..as ourselves. I had to love the little me(s) that stunted my growth and made me stuck. God led me on the journey, but I had to do the work (researching HOW to heal, getting some top level counseling, etc.)This is a big deal and people need to understand how it really works.
