Vaughn Meader 'The First Family Volume Two' 1963 FULL ALBUM

Volume two of the classic Kennedy-era comedy albums. Fortunately, this came out months before Kennedy was assassinated, and sold well... until November of '63 when it was basically pulled from shelves. Vaughn Meader's career was also cut short as a result.

That skit about Jack and Jackie reminiscing in 1996 about the last 30 years of a glorious Kennedy legacy... is quite haunting now.

My older sister bought this album when it first came out and I didn't really understand it. 9 years old at the time. She kept it in her collection and I played it many years later and still now see it as one of the funniest.

This is great, like SNL on vinyl. As a kid, I grew up listening to the first volume from my dad's collection, but I never knew that there was a second. I seam to remember that they did something similar for Ronaldo Reagan when he was president.

YT has some finds...I had no idea that a SECOND album of this THE FIRST FAMILY!!💿 I knew about the first one. Sadly, when JFK was assassinated, Meader's career was never the same. RIP to JFK & Vaughn Meander

Thank you, "Jason". Great album. Never heard it. I love "Caroline's song about being the first daughter... and the last track Meader and the 5 year olds. The 5 year olds had me crying that they were so we'll educated, and topically informed.

Vaughn, to his credit, is the one that had the records pulled from the shelves after November 22 1963 as he did not want to profit from the tragedy.

Even JFK, loved this album! Part 1 and 2! Wow, my dad went out and bought this record when it came out! I never saw my dad laugh so hard! Wow, all these great impressionists were something else! Most are all gone, and today, a wonderful Australian passed away, I loved him playing Dame Edna! Hilarious gentleman!!!

I like the songs in this one, but the first album, is down right hilarious

The actress who voices Jackie makes her sound like Marilyn Monroe... which I suppose could be significant.

Mr. Meader was riding in a vehicle on Friday November 22nd 1963 when the announcer said that President Kennedy had been shot and had died. Mr. Meader said shortly after, "That's when I died also." His famed impersonation star crashed and he faded away dying himself a few decades later. This album is considered rare as it was released real shortly before President Kennedy went to Dallas. It was too painful to listen to by many.  Mr. Meader was a very funny man and had a lot of talent. Both his records sold more than the Beatles first album in 1964 a year afterwards.

We had the first album when I was a kid, but this is my first time hearing the second. Just as good, and even better in places.
