I got the Steve Madden boots for my birthday this year and I didn’t even know they were such a micro trend until after I got them! I’ve specifically wanted long buckle boots like that for years now and when I saw an ad for them I fell in love immediately. Regardless of them inevitably falling off I’m gonna continue wearing them for as long as they hold up!

I love these videos because I never keep up with any trends so I love when you tell me what’s been going on this year 😂 I was like BOXER SHORTS? I steal my husbands sometimes so I may have to try that as an outfit!!! Haha and I also love bows! I’m so sorry about your hair, I had a similar thing happen to me a couple years ago, I have naturally curly hair and it was so long but I bleached it and on top of other damage it ended up snapping off at work one day a few months later 😢 luckily I had a lot of wigs so I’ve been wearing them ever since! My natural hair is finally starting to grow back (slowly but surely) so I’m definitely going to buy some new bows to wear for when I wear my hair down! I used to love buying bows off of Etsy in high school but I was always too afraid to wear them, now I’m going to see what they have and make sure I do! i’m not on tiktok but it’s funny how my knowledge of a trend changes when i’m completely unaware of it. the visceral reaction to the house of sunny dress is *there* but those moto boots (the steve madden ones as well as the other ones)? i love them and had no idea they were a trend (save for i think you mentioning them in a video previously). i LOVE red. it’s my favourite colour but i also think it’s one of those special colours that looks good on everyone! also BOWS! you we’re definitely the one that made me fall in love with braids and bows again!

When I was 10 in 2001, my crush got black Sambas with white stripes and I loved them so much and I also wanted to impress him so I made my mom go to like 3 different stores to find them and I finally found them and I LOVED THEM!!! I played soccer and I loved how they look like cleats. I wanted to love them now that they’re back in fashion for nostalgic purposes and because they were actually a huge part of my style back then but I don’t think they would go with my style now, I like a chunkier shoe now. It makes me sad though because every time I see them I think of how integral they were to my style as a child, it was the first time I was able to pick out my own shoes so it was really the start of my style journey. Maybe I’ll find a way to style them that I like but I haven’t found anything on Pinterest or Instagram so far, maybe I’ll figure it out in 2024. I wish I could find pictures of little me in the Sambas! I always thought I was so uncool and it’s kinda nice to think that maybe I was just ahead of my time by like 20 years lol

ok also, putting bows in your hair was life-changing for me as well! it just takes me back to when I was little and would put bows in my hair for special occasions and doing it now just takes me back to that happy, innocent, nostalgic place and im never going to stop doing it, even if the trend dies
