We could do with some extreme heat in the UK right now, it's been one of the wettest and coldest July's here, barely reaching 18 degrees some days, lucky if it gets to 20 degrees, it's the middle of summer here, we long for the great summer of 1976 when it was hot from March to September, and water was rationed. There's a lot of scare mongering re the climate, quite shameful actually, and for the UN to say it's the era of 'boiling' is just ludicrous. It's basic science to understand that boiling point is 100 degrees. In June we had a few days of 40 degrees then it was back to 'normal' summer temperatures. The UK is famous for it's very mixed weather in Summer.
