I was surprised to learn that a lot of people don't know that the Grandia collection got patched and plays a lot better than it did at release.

I watch a lot of gaming channels and I watch a lot of gamer-room tour videos. The VAST majority of gamers go for the clean, all black and white look with splashes of neon for those with a bit of a budget. Very utilitarian. Very clean.

I don't like it much.

Your area is rather unique as far as I've seen. Very D&D dungeon-esque with soft lighting and splashes of organized chaos. It looks like a place that's very warm and inviting. I especially like the exposed wood and brick on your decorative masonry. I don't know if you've done any room tours on your channel as this is my first visit, but I dig your style.

EDIT: I just watched your studio tour. I'm impressed with your camera placement. You do a great job of making your area seem more spacious than what it is. Good job!

I've used play-asia for a couple of years now, and I have to say I've never been disappointed with them. If I did have to say one bad thing.. it is maybe shipping is awful sometimes, not as bad as LRG or SLG. But example is I got Fatal Frame: Maiden of Blackwater and I ordered it in the middle of October and I got it on the 1st week of December. So something happened during shipping. But I do have to say that is really the only delay I experienced.

Also earlier in the year I picked up Brigadine: Legend of Runersia and that was pricey but the stock was low. But in the end I haven't been disappointed. To quote Tom Petty "Waiting is the hardest part" :P They are my go to store now for some games.

The Switch has some of the best classic RPGs that also have physical releases: Baldur's Gate I&II, Planescape: Torment & Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights. It still seems too early to gauge how much these will jump in value, but they're great RPGs to pick up.

I’ve used Playasia for a while now, always been a nice source of Persona & Dragon Quest merchandise ^^ the range of RPGs over time is massive compared to what I can buy elsewhere in the U.K.

I always buy stuff from play asia. The packaging is impeccable. Great pick ups. I have all but Eastward and Oninaki.

Shocked you got yours so fast. While I love Play Asia shipping always drags for me, and I'm in Florida. I'm still waiting on an order that shipped on December 17th. Glad to hear that you got your order quickly though!

We must be on the same wavelength. I’ve been on a play-Asia spending spree on Switch games for like three months now.

You're probably right about the switch hard-copies becoming rare, but I don't know about expensive. Part of the reason classic games became so precious was that it was so hard to get them at all after a certain point. Most people know about that now, so they'll get copies of these games if they're important to them, now, like you suggest. But also, I'm pretty sure the only game on this list that isn't on PC is the No More Heroes 1 & 2 collection, right? So, it's possible to play them all in this form on PCs and should remain possible indefinately, meaning the value of these games just to play them drops tremendously. What remains is the collector value, and only for people in the future who want to collect specifically the switch remakes and remasters of these games to have rather than use, and also rather than the original games. The exception there is Eastward, which is the only new game here which doesn't have an original copy.

I don't mean to criticize or anything, I'm just explaining my perspective because I don't really understand your reasoning here.

That said, I wouldn't suggest getting these games as an investment, only if you want to have them, and these specific versions.

I've been ordering from play-asia for over 15 years (I am from that region) and these games will not become rare anytime soon. They are so many copies of these game scattered in our local game stores, so no need for anyone to rush to buy these

Playasia is fantastic. I've gotten ffx2 on vita, recently pre-ordered persona 4 arena, and my copy of fatal frame for switch recently came in. Shipping can take awhile but worth it.

I've had that FFVII/FFVIII dual pack since it came out but had no idea they made a physical release for FFIX too! Excuse me while I go and pick one up... The collection demands it

One thing with games on play Asia, they are all on the disc. The final fantasy 7 & 8 in the USA has only one game on the cart, that release has both. Also, when on play Asia, you may find multiple listings for the exact same game, but different covers since they handle the whole world.

I’ve ordered from Play Asia twice. Prices can fluctuate depending on their supplier. I panicked when I saw the price going up on one title and bought in, only to have it drop by a third a few weeks later (and just a day or two past the return window). They do have a good selection though, so I gave them a second try.

Great pick ups! Play Asia have some very solid prices, but shippings tends to be very very long at least for someone in Canada!

That $500 was worth it i'd say. All of those are winners! I am Setsuna, Oninaki and Eastward are all of the ones I really want to get. I'm hoping Tokyo RPG Factory doesnt get shuttered by SquareEnix but we'll see. Play Asia is great and so far no problems at all. I feel that more people should go through them if they can! Thanks Derek!
