Best cover I’ve heard of this song! You have a beautiful voice 💗 I always thought the lyrics IMO were trying to say that the individual couldn’t let go of the other person. That they were really still in love. It’s so painful to hear these soulful lyrics.

I've heard this song when it came out and never really listened to the lyrics. I just enjoyed the melody. Today, I heard it again and read it for the first time in its entirety and was like, "Wow, this dude (the original singer)is brutally honest." I love it so much more now.
