4K Bergen 🇳🇴 The City Built For Rain

In the 10th episode of our "Summer Travel to the Arctic" we invite you to explore one very particular city of Norway - Bergen. It is the rainiest city in Europe with 239 rainy days a year. Moreover, it is "the heart of the fjords" - the city between seven mountains with incredible nature. We are going to explore the Bryggen - a series of Hanseatic heritage commercial buildings that remains from the past and which has been on the UNESCO list for World Cultural Heritage sites since 1979. The characteristic rows of houses built perpendicular to the sea is an example of an architectural style that is nearly 900 years old. Walking inside gives very particular sensation because it is a unique organization of space. Then we will discover Modern Bergen - Solheimsviken - a historically significant neighborhood that has transformed into a vibrant business and residential area. Today, Solheimsviken is known for its modern waterfront developments and architectural projects.
And after, we will go to the top of the highest mountans of Bergen - Ulriken, +643 m above the sea level - to observe the city and its surroundings through the rain, storm, hail and fog.
